Team India is gearing up for yet another busy and challenging season which will start with the home series against West Indies and conclude with the all important World Cup in England next year.

The ongoing year has been a mixed one for India so far. They have won ODI and T20I series in South Africa, Nidahas Trophy in Sri Lanka, T20Is in Ireland and England as well as the Asia Cup. But at the same time Test series defeats in South Africa and England have been an eye-opener for the world number one side. Well,  India will have a chance to make amends for the losses in the upcoming season.

So here is a look at all the series and assignments lined up for India from October to the next year’s World Cup.

India will host West Indies for a full-fledged series in October to start their season. The series gets underway with the Test leg.

The opening Test will be held at Rajkot from 4 to 8 October, followed by the second Test from 12 to 16 October at Hyderabad.

The five-match ODI series will begin on 21 October at Guwahati, followed by the second ODI on 24 October at Indore and third ODI at Pune on 27 October. The final two ODIs will be held at Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram on 29 October and 1 November.

The ODIs will be followed by the three T20 Internationals to be held at Kolkata (4 November), Lucknow (6 November) and Chennai (11 November).

India vs West Indies Schedule:

Test series:

1st Test – October 4-8, Rajkot
2nd Test – October 12-16, Hyderabad

ODI series:

1st ODI – October 21, Guwahati
2nd ODI – October 24, Vizag
3rd ODI – October 27, Pune
4th ODI – October 29, Mumbai
5th ODI – November 1, Thiruvananthapuram

T20I series:

1st T20 – November 4, Kolkata
2nd T20 – November 6, Lucknow
3rd T20 – November 11, Chennai.

India will then fly out to Australia for another full-fledged series. They will bill begin their Australia tour with T20 Internationals.

Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney will host these T20 games on November 21st, November 23rd, and November 25th respectively.

The blockbuster Border-Gavaskar trophy series will start on December 6th in Adelaide.

The Perth Stadium will host the second Border-Gavaskar match on December 14th, before the series moves to Melbourne for the boxing day test match on December 26th and Sydney for New Year’s game on January 3rd, 2019.

India will then play three one-day internationals at Sydney (January 12th), Adelaide (January 15th) and Melbourne (January 18th)

Test series:

December 6-10 – Australia v India, Adelaide Oval, 1st TestDecember 14-18 – Australia v India, Perth Stadium, 2nd TestDecember 26-30 – Australia v India, MCG, 3rd TestJanuary 3-7 – Australia v India, SCG, 4th Test

ODI series:

January 12 – Australia v India, SCG, 1st ODIJanuary 15 – Australia v India, Adelaide Oval, 2nd ODIJanuary 18 – Australia v India, MCG, 3rd ODI

The long tour of Australia will be followed by a limited-overs series in New Zealand, consisting of five ODIs and three T20Is.

The New Zealand tour will end India’s long stay in the southern hemisphere. Virat Kohli & Co. will then return home to take on Australia and Zimbabwe.   The schedule for the Zimbabwe series is not announced yet.

The Zimbabwe series will bring an end to India’s 2018-19 season. The Men in Blue will then go to England for the World Cup.
